This position involves work in shipping, receiving, insulation, or sealing, and is responsible for insulating and assembling product for delivery, using sealant to properly seal product, and following oral instructions or reading work orders to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. The role includes opening containers, loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, and loading materials into vehicles, installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Responsibilities also include rotating material, transporting materials from storage or work sites to the shipping area, counting, weighing, and recording the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet, and attaching identifying tags or labels to materials or marking information on containers. The laborer will also load/unload trucks for the Industrial Truck Operator, assist in various departments as needed, and demonstrate flexibility to learn multiple areas and processes.
