R-2 is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our Gilbert shop team as a Shop Laborer / Maintenance Technician Trainee. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience working around vehicles, equipment, tools, and shop operations. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we want someone interested in growing with our company and developing into a Maintenance Technician.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements

Interest in learning equipment, vehicle, and trailer maintenance

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, construction, automotive, or labor environment
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools
Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn

Responsibilities

Pressure wash and detail company vehicles and equipment
Perform oil changes and assist with basic vehicle maintenance
Stock company vehicles with tools, parts, and supplies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
Assist with inventory management of tools, trailers, and equipment
Pick up parts, materials, and supplies as needed
Assist with trailer maintenance and equipment upkeep
Support Maintenance Technicians while learning valuable maintenance and repair skills
Assist with preventive maintenance activities on vehicles and equipment
