The Diesel Technician Apprentice works alongside experienced diesel technicians to learn the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems. Additionally, this position prepares the apprentice to attend the Lakeside Diesel Academy, where they will receive advanced training on diesel technology, further enhancing their technical skills and certifications. As a diesel technician, you will work independently, performing both major and minor repairs. Diagnosing all-makes commercial trucks and buses and completing maintenance work consistent with Lakeside best practices and industry standards. As an expert, you are considered a lead technician and may serve as a mentor for developing diesel technicians at the dealership. We train for a lifetime.
