Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Job Purpose: The Shop Helper plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Service Department by engaging in a variety of tasks that support and enhance shop functionality and service delivery.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • General mechanical knowledge or aptitude required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • CDL required, or ability to obtain
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Basic hand tools, electrical equipment, computer/phone, safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a consistently clean environment in the shop.
  • Facilitating the swift and efficient delivery of parts to shop technicians.
  • Interacting with customers in a manner that is diplomatic and courteous.
  • Assisting in tasks that increase technician proficiency and efficiency.
  • Actively participating in learning opportunities.
  • Learning through hands-on experience by helping other technicians.
  • Pulling trucks into and out of the shop as directed.
  • Displaying a desire to learn the business and grow within the company.
  • Using resources wisely, including managing time efficiently and utilizing tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Responsible use of resources, proper management of waste materials from repairs, and maintenance of a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  • Approach all duties with dedication and a commitment to the company's values, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
