About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Shop Hand for a thru tubing company in New Iberia, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working in industrial oilfield environments. This position supports thru tubing operations through equipment maintenance, tool preparation, shop upkeep, and inventory support while maintaining high safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience working in oilfield service shops, machine shops, or fabrication environments
• Knowledge of thru tubing tools, tubing strings, BHA components, and downhole equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipment
• Experience with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repair preparation
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments
• Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining high housekeeping standards
• Ability to routinely lift and carry 50–75 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
• Ability to work in outdoor and industrial shop environments
• Ability to safely operate heavy shop equipment and machinery

Nice To Haves

• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience preferred
• Oil Field Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, rebuild, and prepare thru tubing tools and equipment for field operations
• Assist technicians and field personnel with daily shop and operational needs
• Perform pressure washing, greasing, and routine maintenance on equipment
• Load and unload trucks and assist with shipping and receiving activities
• Organize the yard and maintain overall shop cleanliness and housekeeping standards
• Conduct basic inspections and assist with inventory management
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and company policies
