About The Position
Major Drilling is hiring a Shop Hand for their maintenance team in Winnipeg. This role involves assisting the shop team, maintaining organization and cleanliness of the shop and yard, and following detailed instructions and procedures. The position requires an organized and self-motivated individual who can work effectively in a team and with little supervision.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while acting to attain organizational goals.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Safety conscious.
- Effective time management skills, to ensure tasks and responsibilities are completed on time.
- Operate with little supervision.
- Ability to work safely while lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in shop environment considered an asset.
- Valid Driver’s Licence considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assists shop team with any required tasks.
- Ensures organization and cleanliness of shop and yard.
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Tasks are not limited to the above and other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
