About The Position

The Shop Hand assists with loading and unloading supplies and equipment, maintains a clean shop area and yard, and installs and maintains equipment through painting, repairing, cleaning, and testing. This role may involve delivering and picking up parts, potentially including pulling a trailer, and operating various shop equipment such as forklifts, pressure washers, and test pumps. The Shop Hand is expected to perform other duties as assigned, strictly adhere to all company safety policies and best practices, recognize and manage hazards, demonstrate safe work habits, and offer support to other employees.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience
Basic Knowledge hand tools
Basic Knowledge Power tools
Basic Mechanical Skills
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.
Exposure to working outdoors and extreme weather conditions.
Must have flexibility to work any schedule based on business needs, including weekends, and be on a “on –call” rotation.
Must pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements.
You MUST BE 21 or OLDER
Must have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading of supplies & equipment
Assist in cleaning shop area and yard
Installs and maintains equipment – painting, repairing, cleaning, testing
May deliver and pick-up parts which could include pulling a trailer
May be required to operate forklifts, pressure washers, test pumps, and other shop equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
Know, understand, and observe ALL company safety policies, and best practices.
Ability to recognize and manage hazards.
Ability to demonstrate safe work habits.
Willing to offer support and assistance to other employees in the shop.
