About The Position

The Shop Foreman is responsible for preparing work schedules, assigning production tasks, and evaluating incoming orders to set up production accordingly. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality, training and supervising new production workers, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely order completion. The foreman also maintains a safe and tidy work environment and ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and reports.
  • Ability to write simple reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
  • Must be self-motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision, be able to work well with others and have exceptional time management abilities.
