About The Position
Wallwork Truck Center is seeking a Shop Foreman for their Grand Forks location. This role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of technicians while supporting the daily operations of the service department. The ideal candidate is a strong leader passionate about coaching others, building team culture, and helping technicians grow in their careers. While technical knowledge is important, success in this role is driven by leadership, communication, accountability, and the ability to develop people. Success in this role means technicians are engaged, developing, and advancing in their careers, with a strong team culture built on accountability, trust, and collaboration, leading to improved technician retention, productivity, and performance.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in a service, maintenance, trucking, agricultural, construction, or related environment.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build and lead effective teams.
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of heavy-duty truck repair and shop operations.
- Previous supervisory, lead technician, or team leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor technicians, apprentices, and trainees.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support technician development through training, feedback, and career planning.
- Help technicians improve their skills, confidence, and productivity.
- Coordinate shop workflow and prioritize work assignments.
- Maintain high standards of quality, customer service, and efficiency.
- Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts, and Service Management to support customer uptime.
- Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
