About The Position

This role involves operating various manual machining equipment to produce parts, including reverse engineering from existing parts without blueprints. The machinist will work with a wide range of metals and alloys, maintain tight tolerances, and may be required to travel periodically. The position also involves making necessary tools and fixtures and applying machining knowledge to specialized field equipment.

Requirements

Ability to keep tight tolerances.
Must be able to machine a part without a blueprint -- Reverse Engineering.
Ability to work on various metals, including stainless, chrome moly, brass, bronze, carbon steel, titanium, Stellite, cast steel, and aluminum, different alloys.
Machining: 4 years (Required).
Driver’s License Required.

Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Accurately operate manual drill presses, lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and precision grinding machines.
Single-point cut threads on a manually operated lathe.
Maintain tight tolerances.
Machine parts without a blueprint (Reverse Engineering).
Work on various metals, including stainless, chrome moly, brass, bronze, carbon steel, titanium, Stellite, cast steel, and aluminum, and different alloys.
Work flexible hours, weekends, evenings, and overtime when necessary.
Make tools and fixtures as needed for special set-ups.
Apply machining knowledge to specialized field machining equipment.
