About The Position

Grizzly Iron is looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join our fabrication team as a Shop Cutter in our ornamental iron department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the trades. No prior experience required. We'll train the right person. In this role, you'll be responsible for cutting steel and ornamental iron components to spec, keeping our production line moving, and occasionally assisting with basic painting and priming of finished parts. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with your hands in a fast-paced shop environment, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• No experience required, we will train the right candidate
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical work in a shop environment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Cut steel and ornamental iron material to length and shape using shop saws, chop saws, and angle grinders
• Read and follow cut lists and shop drawings to ensure accurate dimensions
• Inspect cut pieces for quality and proper dimensions before passing to the next stage
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures
• Assist with basic painting and priming of parts coming out of fabrication as needed
• Support other shop team members and tasks as directed
