About The Position

Responsible for preparing and modifying wood doors according to specific order instructions. This may involve joining metal parts using high heat or using power tools such as circular saws, jig saws, drills, and sanders. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must pass pre-employment background check or drug test.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 80 pounds.
• General knowledge of warehouse manufacturing.
• Must be able to work as a team and at times independently.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must have basic hand and power tools including: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless drills.
• Knowledge of proper safety practices when handling products, tools and power equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively read and use a tape measure.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to report to work on time.

Nice To Haves

• Current and valid US driver’s license preferred.
• At least 1 year prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and modifying wood doors specific to order instructions.
• Permanently joining metal parts using high heat application.
• Using power tools such as circular saws, jig saws, drills, and sanders.
• Utilizing measuring tools to mark and prepare material.
• Creating the necessary finished product using saws, drills, and other power tools.
• Removing rough edges created during modification.
• Planning work by interpreting shop orders.
• Packaging finished product for transport.
• Interpreting scope of work from documents detailing tasks.
• Wearing appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Assisting the Shop Manager as required.
• Performing other relative duties as assigned.
