We are looking for a reliable and energetic Shop Assistant & Parts Runner to support our service department and ensure our facility operates at the highest standard. The Shop Assistant & Parts Runner is the backbone of our daily shop operations. You will be responsible for keeping the service team supplied and moving efficiently by managing local parts pickups, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining a pristine, organized shop environment. Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screening
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
  • Highly reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in an automotive shop environment or a basic understanding of automotive parts is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver automotive parts, supplies, and documents from local vendors and partners.
  • Assist the service and sales teams with unloading deliveries, verifying part numbers, and distributing items to the correct technicians.
  • Take ownership of the shop and building's cleanliness. This includes sweeping floors, emptying trash, safely disposing of automotive fluids, and ensuring walkways and work areas remain clear and safe.
  • Help organize the parts room, keep track of basic shop supplies, and assist technicians with moving vehicles or staging equipment as needed.
  • Run various operational errands to support the management team and keep the business running smoothly.
