Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on furniture.
  • Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications.
  • Install components and ensure proper functionality before deployment.
  • Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Test repaired or serviced furniture to verify performance and compliance with standards.
  • Track and manage parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
  • Order replacement parts and maintain accurate records of usage.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors or management.
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in the shop.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist internal teams or customers with technical questions and equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance shop efficiency and service quality.
  • Clearly separate foam, cardboard, and plastic to create recyclable materials.
  • Maintain and manage associates and their weekly schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
