About The Position

Sorts, prices, and prepares donated shoes for placement in the store. This role involves inspecting donated shoes for quality, determining their disposition, and preparing them for sale according to store standards. The Shoes Processor will also be responsible for meeting production and quality goals, performing cleaning routines, and assisting with training.

Requirements

  • Able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk or stand to a significant degree.
  • Must be able to move large boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects donated shoes for overall quality and determines disposition based on store manager's direction.
  • Places shoes in appropriate locations for pricing and/or distribution.
  • Prepares shoes for the store according to store quality and pricing standards.
  • Uses pricing machine, adhesive price tags, and tagging gun to price items.
  • Meets or exceeds goals and standards of production and quality.
  • Accomplishes assigned cleaning routine.
  • Assists in the training of workers and consumers in cooperation with the Workforce Development Department staff.
