Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of sales experience

Responsibilities

Assist in Men's, Women's and Youth shoe areas
Prepare all necessary technology and devices prior to scheduled shift to ensure you are ready to begin at your scheduled time
Be proactive in communicating with Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area
Select shoes form backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
Keep product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
Ability to work independently and with the team
Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
Demonstrates attention to detail
Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with Trespect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser
Leads Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
