About The Position

Deseret Book is hiring seasonal workers at its warehouse and distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role includes serving as a backup driver for local deliveries and picking, packing, receiving, and distributing merchandise according to shipping labels, invoices, and purchase orders. Workers safely operate warehouse machinery and use computer information systems under established procedures to ensure order fulfillment quality and accuracy. The position is seasonal and full-time, with a second shift from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Employees must be available Monday through Friday and some Saturdays through January 30, 2027. There is no work on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day; regular work hours apply the day after Thanksgiving. The starting wage is $18 per hour. The warehouse is closed on Sundays.

Requirements

Accurate and detail-oriented.
Willing to take and follow directions.
Good manual and physical dexterity.
Basic computer keyboard and data-entry skills.
Ability to read and write English.
Must be able to work through the 2026 holiday season.
Forklift experience.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to stand for long periods.
Able to stoop, bend, and reach.
Available to work Mondays through Fridays and some Saturdays through January 30, 2027.
