About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled Shipping/Warehouse Associates for their 1st shift. The role involves accurately selecting, verifying, packing, and preparing machined products for shipment. Associates will operate powered narrow-aisle pickers, practice safe lifting techniques, and maintain a clean and safe work area. The position requires collaboration with other departments and support for overall operations. Requirements

  • Proficiency in basic math and clear communication.
  • Able to read and understand instructions in English and complete simple logs and reports.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance provided for heavier loads).
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours, adhering to timekeeping and other company procedures.
  • Comfortable standing and working in a non-climate-controlled environment for the entire shift.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Attentive to detail, capable of determining correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of warehouse functions and general mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
  • Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
  • Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
  • Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.
