Shipping/Trailer Spotter - 1st shift
About The Position
This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License and involves moving 28-foot and 53-foot trailers on and off dock doors using a yard tractor (Ottawa). The role requires understanding Third Party Carrier equipment and the ability to move a significant number of trailers daily (85-110) out of 85 dock doors. Strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, the ability to work well with others, and follow directions from multiple supervisors are essential. The position may require covering off-shifts for vacations with advance notice and working in all weather conditions. There is also a possibility of working on the dock if needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License.
- Ability to move 85-110 trailers in a 10-hour shift.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to take direction from several Supervisors.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
