About The Position

CHEMetrics, LLC, a subsidiary of AquaPhoenix Scientific, has an immediate opening for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Technician to join our operations team on a part-time basis, working approximately 20-25 hours per week. This position is responsible for preparing, packing, and shipping products to customers while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, maintains strong attention to detail, and is committed to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and systems easily.
  • Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to identify errors and perform basic calculations accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed during peak operational periods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to wear PPE and safely perform physical job duties for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, prepare, package and ship customer orders according to order sheets and shipping requirements.
  • Verify shipment contents against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure products are packaged properly to maintain product quality and prevent damage during shipment.
  • Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Utilize FedEx ToolBox and HelpDesk to provide weight/dimension estimates and freight quotes to Customer Service.
  • Support inventory management efforts, including cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and departmental activities as required.
  • Achieve and maintain certifications for domestic and international HAZMAT shipping (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
  • Follow all company quality, safety, GMP, OSHA and ISO9001 standards and procedures.
