About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II - 3rd Shift to join our team in Greenwood, SC! The core hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 pm until 7:30 am. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. The Shipping Technician II supports manufacturing operations by managing daily inbound and outbound logistics activities. This role ensures shipments and receipts are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standards, while upholding safety, quality, inventory control, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Forklift or Pallet Jack Certification OR the ability to be trained upon hire.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate material handling equipment for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate enterprise systems (AS400, Vista, PowerBI preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily shipping and receiving activities, prioritizing urgent orders and monitoring hot shipments using PowerBI.
  • Prepare, stage, load, label, and ship materials according to the shipping plan, including scheduling carrier pickups and coordinating loading times.
  • Create, verify, and maintain shipment records and documentation (BOLs, packing lists, load sheets) in AS400 and Vista.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, verify against purchase orders, update inventory transactions, and complete daily receiving close‑out.
  • Identify material, shipping, or inventory discrepancies; submit error reports via SharePoint and support follow‑up actions.
  • Operate material handling equipment and support packaging, crating, boxing, and safe material movement.
  • Maintain accurate system updates, daily pass‑down communication, and support inventory traceability and reporting.
  • Comply with EHS and 5S+ standards, assist with clerical and customer service–related tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
