About The Position

Corrugated Supplies Co. (CSC) is seeking dedicated, talented, and hardworking individuals to join their team as entry-level Shipping Technicians. This role is designed for individuals to train through operations skills to achieve the highly skilled operations technician “Tech A” status. Responsibilities include running highly technical processes and equipment, ensuring effective and efficient movement of product, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to work 2nd Shift, 3pm - 11 pm or 3rd shift, 11 pm - 7 am

  • Prior experience in corrugated industry or manufacturing floor experience

Responsibilities

  • Work safely always, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures and maintain high standards for personal and team safety.
  • Inspect trailers prior to loading to ensure they are free and clear of debris.
  • Load or assist in loading product into a trailer following shipping instructions.
  • Scan product back into inventory following shipping instructions.
  • Unload or assist in unloading finished product in or from a trailer following shipping instructions.
  • Inspect the load in the trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and is the correct load before leaving.
  • Verify count while the truck is being unloaded, as allowed by customers.
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report any maintenance items to management immediately.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment, performing housekeeping tasks such as wiping down surfaces, sweeping, hosing down, and removing trash, debris, and clutter.
  • Ensure product Quality, Cost, and Production goals are met.
  • Participate in assigned training.
  • Exercise common courtesy and common sense to build shift and CSC team relationships through mutual respect, conflict resolution, mutual assistance, and encouragement.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with respect to Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, Cost Production, and Team.
  • Respond to emergency issues including troubleshooting and clean-up to minimize safety hazards, loss of quality, production, and downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant operations and facility management.
  • Share knowledge and gain knowledge from the rest of the team.
