About The Position

Bad Boy Mowers is seeking an experienced and dependable Shipping Supervisor to lead our shipping team and ensure products are accurately, safely, and efficiently prepared and shipped to our dealers, customers, and other Bad Boy locations. The Shipping Supervisor will provide daily leadership to the shipping team, coordinate workflow and staffing, monitor productivity and accuracy, and work closely with Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure shipments are completed on time and meet Bad Boy's quality and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing required.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
  • Experience working with an ERP, warehouse management, or shipping system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide daily direction to Shipping employees.
  • Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate daily shipping activities.
  • Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, staged, and loaded for shipment.
  • Verify orders, quantities, shipping documentation, and destinations for accuracy.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and ensure shipments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, Transportation, and other departments.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, performance, and adherence to company policies.
  • Train, coach, and develop shipping employees to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Ensure employees follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Oversee the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Work with transportation providers and carriers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged freight, shortages, and other shipping issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and information within company systems.
  • Monitor inventory movement and assist with identifying inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
  • Assist with employee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Communicate operational needs, concerns, and recommendations to management.
  • Support company goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
