About The Position

Start a life-long career with a fast-paced, family oriented company! Wood Systems Inc., a Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company is looking for a reliable Materials Handler to ensure successful receiving, checking, picking and loading of materials. Job Location: 4615 S 49th West Ave, Tulsa, OK 74107

Requirements

Ability to work 50+ hours per week (5 to 6 days per week)
Knowledge and expertise in the use of a variety of tools
Ability to do repetitious work
Must be able to work at a fast pace
Ability to work in a team environment
Lift, drag and carry objects weighing approximately 60lbs
Ability to work on your feet for several hour at a time
Operate a forklift everyday
Manual labor required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, but not required
Forklift Training Available

Responsibilities

Unloads in-bound freight, verifies the material matches the order and records any damages or shortages.
Obtains driver s signature on bill of lading.
Assembles store shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping and labeling the units.
Inspects the shipment, ensuring it is securely covered and strapped.
Build Millwork material packages by hand
Operate a forklift, stock and stage materials for manufacturing.
Ensure cleanliness by removing all waste from the facility
Cycle counts/inventory monitoring
Keep materials organized, safe and ready for production
Follow all safety policies!
Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
Ensures safety functions on equipment are operating properly.
Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.
Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.
Completes required safety training.
Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the receiving, checking, picking and loading of material to and from trucks and warehouse.
Ensures store shipments are assembled correctly and material is restocked to and from warehouse areas.
