About The Position
This role is responsible for packaging and shipping all outgoing units to ensure they arrive undamaged at their proper destination, as well as unpacking and distributing all incoming units. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe shipping and garage area, processing shipments daily, sorting packages by carrier, and working late as needed to meet customer shipping deadlines. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all packages shipped reflect positively and professionally on the company. Additionally, the role involves loading and unloading delivery trucks and adhering to company policies, procedures, and quality systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate with other employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities
- Opening and distribution of all incoming packages.
- Deliver mail between buildings & Post Office.
- Keep shipping and garage area clean and safe.
- Package and ship units daily.
- Keep packages sorted between carriers.
- Work late as deemed necessary to ensure all customer units are shipped on time.
- Be sure all packages shipped out of United Radio will give customers a positive and professional opinion of our company.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
- Comply with United Radio's policies and procedures, and quality systems.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
