About The Position

Responsible for packaging parts for shipment/transport. This role involves measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials, as well as examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met. The position also requires ensuring all documentation is kept with materials, recording product, packaging, and order information, and sealing containers using various packaging materials. Additionally, the role includes assembling, lining, and padding cartons, crates, and containers, cleaning work areas, and following supervisor instructions. A key aspect of the job is ensuring the integrity of parts after processing, including visually inspecting for damage or scratches, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Vision (Near, Distance)
Sense of Sound - Able to hear average conversation
Sense of Touch
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses
Standing for long periods of time
Must meet ITAR requirements

Responsibilities

Packaging parts for shipment/transport
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met
Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
Seal containers or materials, using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials
Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools
Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks
Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.)
Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly
Perform other duties as assigned
