About The Position

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for organizing, processing, and coordinating the shipment and receipt of materials and finished goods while maintaining warehouse standards and ensuring operational efficiency. This role involves preparing and packing finished goods for customer orders, as well as packing and processing shipments for export to other facilities. The individual will receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders, and accurately manage orders, stock, and material movements using SAP. Following shipping instructions and documentation requirements precisely is crucial. The role also includes performing finished goods inventory and cycle counts, completing daily freight spreadsheets, and coordinating with shipping companies for pickups and generating Bills of Lading (BOL) using platforms such as Kuebix. Interpreting and executing order instructions based on SAP documentation, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, and ensuring compliance with warehouse standards, organization, and safety protocols are key responsibilities. Operating forklifts, JLG lifts, and portable scanners as needed, and transporting material to and from the plant (DOT required) are also part of the job. A focus on continuously improving the work environment with an emphasis on safety is expected. Other duties as assigned may also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years Shipping/receiving experience.
  • 2-3 years UPS and FedEx Shipping Software experience.
  • Forklift/MHE experience required.
  • Basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask with accuracy.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Maintains focus in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.
  • Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.
  • Forklift knowledge (stand-up and sit-down).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP/Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • CDL Certification a plus.
