About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Technician is responsible for safely moving, storing, and tracking finished goods for shipment to customers while supporting inventory accuracy and production efficiency. The role contributes to workplace safety, food safety compliance, and efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position is located in Lenexa, Kansas and works a first-shift schedule, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Forklift certification is required, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills, including email and inventory management systems.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating industrial forklifts and standing lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Run orders through the Transportation Management System.
• Pick orders from the warehouse and process them using the appropriate shipping method.
• Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and confirmations.
• Wrap and weigh finished skids.
• Load products for each order onto trucks.
• Communicate with Customer Service, truck lines, and freight lines.
• Run the UPS end-of-day report.
• Bale scrap film and corrugated packaging materials as needed.
• Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear required personal protective equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
