About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Technician in Plainfield, Illinois. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly. Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour. Additional Pay: $0.50 per when working weekends. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, must be open to working flexible hours. We want the right Warehouse Clerk to join us at Ryder and work in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent PC skills in MS Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

• SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Check truck drivers in and out
• Coordinate inbound and outbound loads
• Assign dock doors for inbound/outbound activity in accordance with warehouse direction and vendor assignment in warehouse
• Verify the accuracy of all shipping and receiving documentation
• Partner with the inventory department to resolve any discrepancies
• Assist in appointment scheduling as needed
• Update required reports on a timely basis
• Communicate with customers and assist with customer needs
• Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified
• Other duties as required or assigned
