About The Position

Shipping & Receiving Support 2 will support critical warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory movement, inbound and outbound logistics, and returns processing. This role requires proficiency with PIT (Power Industrial Truck) equipment and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. Requirements

  • 1-2 years working knowledge and expertise in Forklift operation, maintenance, order processing, receiving, replenishing, and returns.
  • 1-year customer service experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of inventory practices.
  • Familiar with WMS applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Bilingual welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power industrial truck equipment to down-stack pallets and keep product flowing into bins and shelving.
  • Move inventory around the building from storage to the line.
  • Use scanners and computers to track product, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Load freight onto outbound docks.
  • Use PIT equipment to unload trucks and stage incoming inventory.
  • Shift pallets from the dock to staging areas and prepare shipments.
  • Load trucks with outbound pallets and inventory, ensuring security.
  • Move incoming product from staging into warehouse locations.
  • Use pallet jacks to move incoming shipments off trucks and into the building.
  • Read Bills of Lading and match them with purchase orders.
  • Verify product in the WMS, receive it into inventory, and close out POs.
  • Open returned shipments.
  • Identify each item, scan it into the system, and determine if it goes back to stock or is marked as damaged.
  • Maintain the flow of returns processing.
  • Ensure incoming shipments are clean, correct, and ready for action.
  • Perform customer-specific services at special handling stations, such as hand-rolling bottles in tissue, custom box builds, and wax dipping.
  • Keep workspace safe and clean.
  • Assist wherever needed as part of a team.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Work beyond regular work hours and occasionally on weekends, if needed.
  • Participate in improvement projects and other assigned tasks.
