About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. This role is based out of our South Milwaukee, WI location. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for driving processes related to the receipt of raw material, storage of all inventory and shipment of finished goods. In this role, you will assist the Supply Chain Manager and Materials Manager in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain inventory accuracy and reduce overall costs. Through these improvements, you will exceed the customers’ expectations by making sure that the organizational decision making is based on a process-oriented culture to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83000 - $122000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in supply chain
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Minimum of 1 year of Team Lead experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in supply chain
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Conflict resolution experience and strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Drive a Zero Incident Safety Culture
  • Support the execution of optimized materials storage and handling processes and procedures
  • Communicate with, direct and motivate a diverse hourly workforce on a regular basis
  • Set clear expectations and goals for the hourly workforce and hold these employees accountable for their results including required training
  • Maintain accurate records including overtime, daily production, attendance and corrective action registers
  • Coordinate the logistics as required by ordering trucks based on product specifications and location requirements
  • Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals
  • Actively support 3-deep coverage within the Materials organization
  • Assist the management team in determining personnel requirements, provide necessary training resources for new employees, and facilitate the job bidding process
  • Monitor and provide employee coaching with respect to safety, quality and productivity performance (attendance, training, coaching, overtime, vacation requests etc.)
  • Assign daily work schedules and review in-process inventory reports to ensure alignment to business goals
  • Lead daily tier meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution. Lead weekly departmental meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates and policy/procedural changes as needed
  • Maintain and update material handling processes, standard work and work instructions
  • Run daily reports for shipments and track on time to ship, inventory discrepancies, identify gaps and develop corrective actions
  • Assist in Cycle Count process
  • Ensure the achievement of on-time receipts and on-time put away metrics
  • Manage storage and put-away processes to reduce inventory errors
