About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for the Oneida Facility oversees the daily operations of loading, unloading, and storing materials, ensuring accurate inventory records and shipping documentation. They lead warehouse personnel in safety, efficiency, and workflow, managing carrier coordination, inspecting goods, and maintaining inventory control to meet production schedules.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in shipping/receiving with at least 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and MS Office. D365 experience is preferred.
  • Friendly and helpful approach for customers and a strong sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Attention to detail as shown by accuracy and consistency, providing requested information on a timely basis, and following policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of MS office products and must be proficient with Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform basic math and geometry calculations
  • Basic administrative skills with an emphasis on both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage, train, and motivate a team, along with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy items, often requiring standing for long periods and working in, or near, industrial machinery.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule shipping/receiving clerks and warehouse staff.
  • Manage shipping functions on all orders from origin to delivery, to include but not limited to, obtaining shipping addresses, ensuring on-time packaging and shipment of orders, providing shipping carrier information for customers, and effectively managing special shipping requirements.
  • Oversee incoming/outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with company policies.
  • Expedite orders through the production process when required to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate finished good inventory through regular cycle counts and adjustments when needed. Monitor stock levels through regular cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and update databases to maintain accuracy.
  • Resolve product or service delivery problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause and selecting the best solution.
  • Manage all customer returns including preparing of RG’s throughout the entire process including initiation of paperwork to prompt internal action on the customer’s behalf (Credits, complaints, corrections/adjustments, etc.)
  • Assist in resolving ship hold and customer credit problems.
  • Assist in clerical tasks such as filing, record maintenance, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Verify invoices, Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and shipping labels
  • Quality checks and documentation necessary for ISO compliance and customer requirements.
  • Technology and automation implemented across the plant will replace current paper-based and manual operations and processes.
  • Ensure all HBD Safety Policies and Procedures are followed when performing job duties.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment; enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
