Shipping & Receiving Specialist
About The Position
River Valley Power & Sport is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join their team in Red Wing, MN. This role supports two Red Wing locations, the North Store and Marine Center, and is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of inventory between dealerships, vendors, customers, and service departments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, enjoys hands-on work, and has experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control. A passion for boating, powersports, or the outdoor lifestyle is a significant advantage. The company represents leading brands such as Can-Am, Honda, Polaris, Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Bennington, and more.
Requirements
- Previous shipping & receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidates with experience in Marine, Powersports, Automotive, RV, Agriculture, Heavy Equipment, Lawn & Garden, Small Engine Repair, Distribution, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, or Logistics are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Accurately process incoming inventory into dealership systems.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments to vendors and customers.
- Coordinate transfers between the North Store and Marine Center locations.
- Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Deliver parts and products to service, sales, and other dealership departments.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (training provided if needed).
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Work closely with Parts, Service, Sales, and Accounting to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading boats, powersports units, and freight as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and shipping best practices.
