About The Position

AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America. AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist professional. Persons in this role are responsible for the packaging, shipping, and receiving (i.e. warehousing and inventory) of all company-related parts, tools, and materials as related to the company products. Team Members are required to stage, prepare, and package high-value parts and product for both domestic and international shipping/delivery. Shipping & Receiving Specialists regularly utilize multiple computer programs/platforms to update/process outgoing order documentation and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders. The Shipping & Receiving Team performs weekly inventory cycle counts and is responsible for the investigation of physical/system quantity discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years shipping & receiving experience
  • Working knowledge of carrier platforms and digital tracking systems
  • Prior experience handling and packaging fragile product for delivery
  • Prior experience receiving and verifying incoming product
  • Prior experience performing physical cycle counts
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry, push and pull product up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, crouch and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, abrasives, heat, cold, adhesives, chemicals, magnets and automated/manual machinery
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe safety shoes, and designated PPE gloves as required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of international shipping requirements
  • Prior experience packaging fragile, large-scale shipments
  • Forklift certification
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of safety data sheets and hazardous (SDS/GHS) chemical labeling
