About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Operator moves products on and off trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role verifies inventory, visually inspects shipments for quality, and prepares products for shipping. Operators may also work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to identify products by reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet identification numbers.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold-storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry-storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds; required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow computerized work orders to determine the quantities and types of products to ship.
• Locate requested items in the warehouse.
• Change over pallets for picking and visually inspect items for damage or flaws.
• Document and report damages to supervisors or leads.
• Pack, seal, and label materials or pallets for shipping, using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify picked-item counts.
• Alert the appropriate leader to issues with products or materials and await directions to resolve them.
• Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end of the shift.
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery or material-handling equipment to move products.
