About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Operator will work a rotating shift- 4-on, 4-off. This role involves actively participating in Bunge’s Employee Safety Involvement Plan, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to HAACP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and quality. The operator will be responsible for operating and controlling soybean processing equipment/machines, recording data, securing samples, and performing necessary process control tests. Adjusting and maintaining operating parameters, general housekeeping of the plant, and cross-training in all areas of the process are also key duties. The position requires a commitment to supplying safe food, maintaining a food safety culture, continually improving the site's food safety management system, and complying with customer and regulatory requirements. Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Some mechanical background including the ability to recognize signs of operational failure
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shift
  • Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.
