About The Position

Under general direction, the shipping and receiving material handler is responsible for moving and placing parts and materials ready for processing and storage. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate mobile equipment, and proficiency in loading and unloading trucks. The handler will prepare parts for processing/shipping, ensure correct parts are identified and placed, and manage checklists for accuracy. They will also identify and communicate resource needs to supervisors and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and man lift to approved O.S.H.A. standards.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to load and unload trucks.
  • Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
  • Must follow all company policies, safety and procedures.
  • U.S. person status as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Move and place parts and materials ready for processing and storage.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Set up parts in designated areas to prepare for processing/shipping.
  • Identify and ensure correct parts are placed in the designated order.
  • Ensure checklists are completed correctly (quantity and serial numbers if applicable) before turning them in.
  • Ensure or notify supervisor of needed resources/supplies (e.g., pallets, lumber, services).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
  • Follow all company policies, safety, and procedures.
  • Report any observed problems to supervisor/manager.
