About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Crew is responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading trucks, storing materials, picking, palletizing, and scanning orders. This role provides day-to-day assistance to the Supervisor/Management and requires adherence to Daily's GMP's and safety policies.

Requirements

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Must be computer literate and able to learn new computer programs quickly
Ability to conduct inventories correctly
Knowledge of warehouse operations and loading/unloading of trucks
Know proper and common procedures for loading trucks
Ability to read, write and speak English is vital to allow communication with drivers, customers, and shipping companies
Strong communication skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages

Nice To Haves

Advanced skills with forklifts and electric pallet jacks preferred

Responsibilities

Palletize and organize loads for shipment using correct stacking order.
Ensure accuracy of each pallet and entire load.
Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork including bills of lading and invoices.
Ensure trucks are loaded in correct order for LTL transit, first stop loaded last, etc.
Responsible for large quantities of product. Must be always honest and ethical to avoid unnecessary losses.
Assist in weekly, monthly, and year-end inventories and maintains accurate counts.
Rotates to related duties within the Shipping department.
Keep warehouse area clean and well organized.
Uses wireless handheld scanner for accurate inventory reporting and recordkeeping.
Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead.
Follow Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules.
Follow Daily’s Good Manufacturing Processes.
Follow Daily’s Safety Guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook.
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily’s business objectives.
