About The Position

This role involves performing general shipping and receiving duties, supporting the shipment of goods, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of orders. The clerk will arrange for carrier pick-ups, report defective materials, maintain inventory levels, and keep the work area clean and safe. Responsibilities also include making local pick-ups and deliveries using a company box truck and complying with all safety and regulatory laws. Other duties may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to operate a box truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Attention to detail for order verification and quality checks.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a shipping/receiving role.
• Familiarity with inventory management.
• Experience with quality control checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs general shipping and receiving duties such as order picking, verifying orders are 100% correct, and general quality checks.
• Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Responsible for always keeping an adequate supply of materials on hand.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company box truck.
• Complies with all safety, health and regulatory compliance laws and policies.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.
