About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a shipping and receiving clerk for the location in Hagerstown, MD. for 2nd Shift. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months related experience
Nice To Haves
- Lumber experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Responsible for placing identifying information on material upon arrival at the plant site.
- Routes items to inventory.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Maintains flow of traffic through yard and assists in staging shipments for outbound loads.
- Assists in stacking lumber or moving product by hand as needed.
