About The Position

The role of a shipping and receiving clerk will be responsible for supporting the inbound and outbound processes for the company. This will include document preparation, posting shipments, answering email correspondence, reconciliation and preparing order documents for outbound loads. This is a position that requires attention to detail and a willingness to be a team player as well as provide excellent service to internal departments and our customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. (advanced Excel skills with the ability to use macros and formulas)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics Nav/Business Central
  • Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated, self-starter, proactive thinker, team player, and strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks with competing priorities, responsibilities, and tight deadlines with follow-through and minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends.

  • Prior warehouse experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in Wawona Frozen Foods' Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environment.
  • Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
  • Compliance with all GMP, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures.
  • Empowered to notify and/or act in response to any issues or concerns within the scope of work.
  • Accepts and documents packages and deliveries made to the facility.
  • Check in trucks, documenting in and out weights, verifying loads, assign seals.
  • Prepares and coordinates receiving of materials, verifies accuracy of paperwork and processes receipt in the system.
  • Prepare sand schedules items for shipping, consolidating inventory and other planning details.
  • Complete shipment posting process.
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage or receiving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Respond to email correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work with internal departments to arrange the shuttles to and from 3PL partners.
  • Seasonal certified weight tags for inbound fresh commodities.
  • Completion of additional tasks as needed and cross-functional department communication.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
