About The Position

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate all last minute pick-ups and deliveries V erify that each invoice matches the corresponding purchase order for every pick-up Confirm that payments received match the invoices for each delivery Maintain an accurate daily log of all deliveries and pick-ups; request the recipient’s signature for each delivery entry Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork along with any undelivered parts Perform basic truck maintenance, including fueling, checking oil levels, keeping the vehicle clean, and ensuring all required inspections are completed Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department Check in all stock orders upon receipt Notify the parts manager immediately of any parts that are missing or damaged in any type of order Receipt all special-order parts Maintain an organized special-order file and ensure customers are notified promptly when their parts arrive Maintain the backorder file Group 1 Automotive , a Fortune 250 company, is a leading operator of automotive dealerships and collision centers across the United States and United Kingdom. Requirements

  • Two or more years of related experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
  • One or more years of sales experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a process driven environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment and a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all last minute pick-ups and deliveries
  • Verify that each invoice matches the corresponding purchase order for every pick-up
