About The Position

The Shipping-Receiving Clerk is responsible for shipping and receiving product at the retail store. The position has no direct supervisory authority and reports to the Store Manager. The role may require assisting with load outs, breaking down freight, bringing shopping carts in, and other assigned duties. Prior experience in a warehouse setting and/or the ability to become forklift certified is required.

Pay range: $16.50–$17.50, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a warehouse setting and/or ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to operate merchandise-handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise into the warehouse area.
• Cross-check quantities against packing slips and make corrections as necessary.
• Operate merchandise-handling equipment safely.
• Accurately allocate merchandise to the splitting area or department.
• Load merchandise onto the proper truck for shipment and shrink-wrap it when necessary.
• Perform general maintenance of equipment.
• Practice workplace safety by using safe work habits.
• Assist with load outs, break down freight, bring shopping carts in, and perform other duties as assigned.
