About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.

Requirements

  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license, pass MHE testing and maintain licenses.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a related field is required.
  • Requires a National Agency Background Check and the ability obtain computer access.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.
  • Must take and pass drug screening and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
  • Must pass the National Agency Background Check and obtain computer access.

Responsibilities

  • Visually examine all stock received and shipping for proper labeling, packaging, quantity, condition, defects, deterioration, and correctness.
  • Uses computer to access AESIPS, WEBFILS, SRDP, and COSIS.
  • Checks shelf-life on supplies received and shipping.
  • Remediates packaging as necessary.
  • Repacks supplies as necessary and imputes into SRDP.
  • Performs COSIS inventory on supplies in storage.
  • Uses foam and other packaging materials to preserve and protect parts.
  • Must be able to travel to and pass Pack 1B and AMMO-62 certification two-week courses.
  • Examine, handle, and package hazardous materials for shipment.
  • Orders, stores, and handles lumber.
  • May be required to brace ammo loads for ASP.
  • Consult or correspond with supervisor to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Receive, inspect, repack verify, material.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Order and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Pack, seal, label, materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools,
  • Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklift, cart, conveyor, or sorting bins.
  • Package all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provides reports and statistical data of all activities.
  • Must take and pass drug screening and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
