About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in CIMCO’s manufacturing and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming materials, entering inventory into SAP, organizing storage locations, and supporting production by pulling and staging parts. The role also manages outbound shipments, prepares documentation, coordinates carriers, and ensures accuracy for all incoming and outgoing materials. This position directly supports production teams, field construction teams, and internal operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely movement of materials throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse tasks.
  • Willingness to learn about incoming equipment, materials, and inventory processes.
  • High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with production teams, field staff, and internal departments.
  • Demonstrated reliability, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming equipment and materials, inspect shipments for damage, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or shortages.
  • Enter received items into SAP, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure all materials are stored in designated locations.
  • Control and track all field-related construction materials, preparing and shipping items to job sites as requested.
  • Keep assembly parts racks clear, clean, organized, and aligned with inventory accuracy standards.
  • Pull parts and equipment for manufacturing, verify quantities for project sub-assemblies, and stage materials to support production workflows.
  • Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and verification of shipment accuracy.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups, resolve shipping issues, and maintain complete shipping documentation.
  • Troubleshoot inventory or shipment discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified) to safely move materials throughout the facility.
