About The Position
Under direct supervision, this role verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. Performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed. All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member. Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
Requirements
- General knowledge of material handling is required.
- Skills may be gained through on-the-job training and/or specialized training.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and electric hoists are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Picks material for parts orders, verifying identification and quantity.
- Packs material for safe shipment to customers.
- Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials.
- Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for work orders and shipment of parts orders.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with internal departments and outside suppliers/service providers.
- Cycle counts inventory as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
