About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is a cross-trained, dual-function role within NEACO’s Operations team. This position is responsible for the accurate and compliant receipt, inspection, processing, packaging, and dispatch of all aircraft components, parts, and materials moving through our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk works fluidly across both shipping and receiving functions to ensure operational continuity, provide mutual coverage, and support the team during peak periods or absences. We maintain long-term customer relationships in domestic and international markets and are uniquely positioned to serve the commercial, cargo, and defense aircraft maintenance market.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Small team environment so candidate must be reliable, punctual, and present when scheduled
  • Minimum 1–3 years of applicable experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role; aerospace or high-value manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and be a quick learner
  • Needs good time management skills, is an independent thinker, and is able to meet deadlines or target dates and times
  • Works well independently or as part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); proficient in shipping software and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL)
  • Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally; regular lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Any previous experience with inventory management or ERP software is a plus
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations (DOT, IATA Dangerous Goods) is a significant plus; training will be provided as needed
  • Forklift Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming repair orders; visually inspect parts and documentation for correct part numbers, serial numbers, and damage.
  • Accurately enter all inbound order information into company computer systems and ERP/inventory software.
  • Image and file all receiving-related documentation using the optical imaging system.
  • Document and segregate all non-conforming inbound orders; route items to correct departments.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for inbound carrier coordination and scheduling.
  • Carefully pack repaired, overhauled, or new aircraft components using appropriate materials (custom crates, boxes, foam, anti-static bags) based on size, weight, fragility, and hazmat/ESD requirements.
  • Verify all outgoing shipments are accompanied by complete and accurate documentation including FAA Form 8130-3, Packing Lists/Shipping Slips, Certificates of Conformance, and Hazmat paperwork; ensure documentation matches physical contents and shipping label.
  • Process shipments using carrier software and online portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight forwarders); arrange carrier pickups and ensure packages are ready for dispatch at scheduled times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area; operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for outbound carrier coordination; follow all company safety policies and procedures when handling heavy or hazardous materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming repair orders including visual inspection of parts and documentation.
  • Pack and prepare outgoing shipments using correct materials (foam, anti-static bags, custom crates, boxes).
  • Verify outgoing documentation: FAA Form 8130-3, Packing Lists, Certificates of Conformance, and Hazmat paperwork.
  • Process shipments and coordinate pickups using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarder portals.
  • Enter all shipping and receiving data accurately into company computer systems and ERP/inventory software.
  • Image and retain all shipping and receiving documentation using the optical imaging system; filing and copying as required.
  • Document and segregate all non-conforming inbound and outbound orders in accordance with company SOP procedures and industry standards.
  • Follow all FAA, DOT, IATA Dangerous Goods
  • Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Run company errands for maintenance and supplies as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
