About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries, accounting for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. The attendant will stage merchandise by department, mark it appropriately for placement in the facility, and deliver it to the correct department. Responsibilities include verifying and tracking received inventory, completing inventory reports and logs, and reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports for count accuracy. The role also involves receiving, storing, shipping, and delivering incoming and outgoing department packages and mail, securing the receiving room and its contents, and ensuring the safekeeping of packages. Adherence to all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations is required. The attendant will ship all outgoing mail and packages, verify the quantity and condition of packages upon receipt before delivery to guests, and communicate with guests regarding received packages. Maintaining an accurate tracking system for all shipping and receiving transactions, including obtaining guest signatures for received packages, is essential. The role requires communicating any loss or damage with packages to the proper management. Additionally, the position involves reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and completing safety training and certifications. Following all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are key. The attendant will address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner, speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others is important. The role requires reading and visually verifying information in various formats, visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines, and performing physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for manipulating objects. The attendant must be able to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job duties. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may be assigned.
