About The Position

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Attendant to manage incoming and outgoing packages and mail. This role involves ensuring the safekeeping of packages, adhering to hazardous material guidelines, maintaining accurate tracking systems, and communicating with management and guests regarding shipments. The position requires a valid U.S. Driver's License and involves physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

Addresses owner/guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Speaks to owner/guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
Answers telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, transferring calls to appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.
Talks with and listens to other associates to effectively exchange information.
Supports all co-workers and treats them with dignity and respect.
Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships with other associates and departments.
Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Receives, unloads, and processes deliveries and accounts for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports.
Receives and stages merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department.
Verifies and tracks received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
Reconciles shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
Locks and unlocks secure merchandise storage areas.
Receives, stores, ships, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail.
Secures the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages.
Follows all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations.
Verifies quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to owner/guest.
Maintains accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving owner/guest signatures for received packages.
Ships all out-going mail and packages.
Identifies received product and delivery recipient and determine channeling and preference of distribution.
Communicates with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.
Communicates with owner/guest regarding received packages, including following up with the recipient.
Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Uses proper equipment, wears appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employs correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Maintains awareness of suspicious persons on property premises.
Reports work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
Protects the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Ensures uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Follows company and department policies and procedures.
Protects company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
