About The Position
A Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the shipping and receiving of goods and materials within an organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare packaging for shipments
- Verify documents and labels to product shipping
- Assemble, label, and package product
- Use of manipulator lifting devices for handling heavy products. Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
- Pallet stacking, banding, and stretch wrapping
- Use of pallet jack to stage products for shipping and load trucks
- Use of pallet jacks to unload trucks
- Verify counts
- Check for damage to delivered products
- Report discrepancies or damage to supervisor
- Verify packing lists to products being received
- Match serial number of products to database and receive
- Stack, strap, and wrap outbound shipments
